Commercial Medical Escort

While recovering from illness of injury, many patients have the comfortable option to still fly on commercial aircraft, with a professional medical escort to accompany them.

Fox Flight's qualified team of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and paramedics is always on call to provide medical attention for patients on commercial flights, matching the appropriate staff to the patient's medical requirements.

Should medical clearance from the airline(s) be required (depending on the patient's condition), Fox Flight will arrange these clearances on behalf of the patient. We have open and working relationships with all major airline medical desks for rapid patient approval. We will also arrange any other required in-flight medical equipment such as Bottled Oxygen or an Oxygen Concentrator. All of our certified medical escorts are supplied with Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life support (ALS) - medication and equipment at all times.

From the moment a patient and their traveling companion(s) depart a foreign city, Fox Flight's medical escorts are with them until they arrive at their local hospital, medical facility or residence - providing the best care possible every step of the way for every patient we accompany.

Air Ambulance

Every year, day or night, hundreds of critically ill and injured patients rely on our air ambulances for safe emergency medical transport.

Each air ambulance is staffed with two pilots and, depending on the patient's medical requirements, two or more experienced and certified medical crew. Our team can be staffed from a large pool of critical care nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists and paramedics, ensuring a higher level of care as we safely transport patients to their destination hospital or medical facility.

Our advanced intensive care configured and dedicated aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology including: Lifepack 12, ALS medication and equipment, as well as ventilators and incubators if required.

In some cases, one companion may accompany the patient and fly with them and the medical team, though luggage must be restricted to one carry-on item.

Commercial Stretcher

A commercial stretcher transfer is similar to a commercial medical escort. For patients who stretcher-bound and are required to remain lying flat during transport but are stable enough to fly on commercial aircraft, a commercial stretcher may be required.

Fox Flight provides commercial stretchers in the passenger cabin of commercial aircraft, with curtains surrounding the patient's compartment to maintain privacy. Medical escorts are seated beside the stretcher area to provide constant monitoring and care for the patient, while family members are seated in close proximity to be able to support and access their loved one, yet not interfere with care requirements.

Land Ambulance

For patients who require transportation throughout Ontario or across the U.S.-Canadian border, Fox Flight Inc. provides land ambulance transfers.

Fox Flight's land ambulances are staffed with a minimum of two paramedics and a nurse, with other staff on call depending on the patient's medical requirements. All land ambulances are equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, including Lifepack 12, BLS and ALS medication and equipment to provide the best care possible during transportation.

Fox Flight also arranges land ambulance transfers around the world to support our air ambulance, commercial medical escort and commercial stretcher repatriations. "Bed-to-bed" service is a concept which we embrace and fulfill.
